SCROLL down for Volunteer Form
Volunteer Opportunities with Youth at Christ the King
For our 2nd grade First Sacrament programs, we offer two learning centers. Volunteers are needed to help lead the activity stations, as well as assist with hospitality.
We are looking for adults to help lead our monthly confimation programs for high school students. We typically meet on the first Sunday of the month from 3 - 4:30 pm. All training and materials are provided
CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD
A children’s Liturgy of the Word is offered September through May at most of our Sunday 9:30 a.m. Masses. Leaders are needed to serve with a team on a rotating basis to read the Word of God with young children and lead an age-appropriate homiletic reflection, often using mediums of art, music, and story-telling. Training and all materials are provided.
WEDNESDAY FAITH FORMATION CLASSES
During the school year (September-May), students aged 1-5th grade meet weekly on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 pm. Classes are led by trained catechists (volunteer teachers), and children are taught in age-appropriate small community groups. Our lessons are rooted in tenants of the faith, social justice, the Sunday liturgy and is developmental in nature. All materials and lesson plans are provided.
IGNITE SMALL GROUP LEADER
During the school year, typically on the 2nd and 3rd Sundays of the month, middle school students join together from 3 - 4:30 pm. The Ignite program offers a small Christian community type setting. Gatherings will start with games and music. From there the students will move into small groups, where an adult leader will help facilitate discussion. All teaching and training are provided.
YOUTH MINISTRY SOCIAL EVENT CHAPERONE
Once a month, our youth ministry program offers a social event for teens (grades 6-12). Activities vary from corn mazes, snow tubing, water parks, and more. Whether the event is offsite or at our CTK campus, adult volunteers/chaperones are needed. Occasionally, we are also in need of adult volunteers to help with driving to and from locations.
