CTK Rekindle the Spirit Initiative: Progress Update and Upcoming Events Oct 12 & 19
PHASE ONE COMPLETION
Thank you to all who took part in the Gallup Poll survey. We have finished the first phase of CTK’s “Rekindle the Spirit” initiative, which seeks to refocus our ministries and reignite the flame of our faith. We gathered key information about our current parish community, its surroundings, and the future trends that might affect us.
SHARING OUR FINDINGS
We will present the results of our data collection and community analysis over the next two Sundays, during the time between masses (approximately 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM). Please join us for these important sessions to learn and discuss:
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: PHASE TWO
After sharing our findings, we will invite all members of the parish community to take a more active role in shaping our future. In November and December, parishioners will have the opportunity to join small groups centered around particular topics.
These groups will convene in early 2026 to engage in discussions, using the survey data and other analyses as context. Your participation will be crucial as we continue to strengthen and guide the direction of our parish community. Thank you for your willingness and commitment to Rekindle the Spirit!
SEPTEMBER 5, 2025
Dear friends in Christ,
We are partners in the mission of Jesus to bring all people into God’s Kingdom of love.
How can we best accomplish what God has in mind for us? How can we best use the gifts and talents of the people who are a part of our community? How can we invite more people to join us? These are important questions that we are asking here at Christ the King.
In the coming weeks, we will conduct a significant pastoral planning process to focus our ministries and rekindle the flame of faith among us. This will include a deep review of our current reality and trends that will impact our future at multiple “round table” events.
First, every member aged 18 and older and anyone who considers him or herself a part of our parish will have the opportunity to share his or her opinions about some of the key aspects of our parish life together through a Member Engagement Survey. The purpose of this survey is to help us identify areas of strength in our parish and areas where we can improve.
The survey will be administered and tabulated by Gallup, an independent research company. We can begin to take the survey on August 15 through September 7, either on paper at church, or by clicking on the survey link in our weekly eblast or on our website. Your opinions will be completely confidential. Gallup will not reveal any individual responses to anyone. After we have received the results from Gallup, we will use them to start a dialogue about how we can more effectively accomplish our mission.
This is an exciting time for us here at Christ the King as we take important steps toward renewing God’s purpose for us. Please watch for more information about our “Rekindling the Spirit” pastoral planning process in the near future in our eblast and online. We will also make announcements at Mass. Thank you, in advance, for your willingness to share your thoughts, opinions, and ideas through the upcoming Member Engagement Survey and throughout our planning process.
Sincerely,
Fr. Erich Rutten, Pastor, The Church of Christ the King
