Get Involved

Youth ministry thrives because parishioners are willing to share their faith, time, and gifts.

Whether you enjoy mentoring teens, preparing food, offering hospitality, praying for young people, helping with technology, or leading activities, there is a place for you in this ministry.

Confirmation Catechist/Small Group Leader:

Sundays (October-May) following the 11 a.m. Mass.

Volunteers accompany a small group of four high school students during Confirmation preparation. Catechists help foster discussion, build relationships, and encourage young people as they deepen their faith and prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

• Several volunteers are needed two to four times a month following the 11 a.m. Mass.

Youth Ministry Small Group Leader:

Tuesdays (October-May) | Middle School: 4:30 - 6 p.m. | High School: 7 - 8:30 p.m.

Volunteers accompany a small group of four middle school or high school students during youth ministry gatherings at Christ the King. No prior teaching experience is required, just a willingness to listen, encourage, and share your faith.

• Several volunteers are needed on Tuesday afternoons and evenings.

Additional Volunteer Opportunities:

There are many other ways to support youth ministry:

• Prepare or provide food for youth ministry gatherings on Tuesdays.
• Pray for a teen by name during youth group. (You do not need to be present to participate.)
• Pray for a Confirmation candidate during Confirmation sessions. (You do not need to be present to participate.)
• Assist with hospitality by helping create a welcoming and inviting environment for young people.
• Share technology, design, or communications skills by helping revise flyers, presentations, handouts, and other ministry materials.
• Help lead high-energy games and activities.

Not sure where your gifts fit? We'd love to help you find a meaningful way to serve. There truly is a place for everyone in youth ministry.

All volunteers must complete and maintain E3 credentials in accordance with Archdiocesan Safe Environment requirements.
