In Baptism we become with Christ and join the faith community of God’s people. It is the first sacrament of initiation. The Catholic Church baptizes people of all ages–from infants to adults. To help prepare individuals and families for this sacrament, the form of preparation will depend on the individual seeking Baptism.
Here at Christ the King, Deacon Jim meets individually with parents to help them prepare for their child's baptism. Baptism preparation classes are for infants, and children up to the age of 7. Parents are asked to attend a prep class prior to their child’s baptism. To schedule your infant child’s baptism and preparation time, please contact the parish office. You will be asked to provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate, names of godparents and other pertinent information for our parish records. The church of baptism becomes the place where are sacramental records are kept for your child. For children older than 7, please contact Fr. Erich.
