K-8 Faith Formation

Faith Formation (Grades 1-5)

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS 6:30-7:30PM, Resumes in October 2024.

Finding God is the primary catechetical curriculum for parish children in grades 1-5 who attend a non-Catholic school and whose families have chosen the parish to assist them in the formation of their children in the Catholic faith. Led by trained catechists (volunteer teachers), children are taught in age-appropriate small community groups. Finding God is a Jesuit Ministry which is rooted in tenants of the faith, social justice, the Sunday liturgy and is developmental in nature. Allergies should be brought to the teachers’ attention. Parents assist in the formation by participating both in home and on site activities. Registration is required. Contact Terri Hunt for more information about the program or registration.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

SUNDAY 9AM MASS

A children’s Liturgy of the Word is offered for children ages 4 and up at our Sunday 9:00 a.m. Mass. Leaders are needed to serve with a team on a rotating basis to read the Word of God with young children and lead an age-appropriate homiletic reflection, often using mediums of art, music, and story-telling. Training is provided, as well as support and encouragement from experienced Children’s Ministers of the Word. A love of children and of God’s Word is required. Special talents are welcome!
